My European destinations

Yesterday I had potluck lunch with 3 women who had all moved from aboard to Germany, one women from Haiti, another from Australia, and finally my neighbor from Malaysia. We were chatting about this amazing opportunity you have when you live here to travel to some of the most lovely locations. These women have lived here for over 10 years each but have amazing stories of vacations and travels. The women from Haiti was preparing to leave with her husband and children to a vacation in northern Italy Saturday morning. The women from Australia had just returned from 3 weeks in a tiny town in France over looking the Mediterranean sea. Hearing of there travels got me thinking, asking questions, and pondering how to see as much as possible in three years! Then with this thought still stuck in my head Scott comes home to tell me one of his employees parents rents a flat in Croatia. So hmmm, we have already booked Paris, and Austria but where else should we/ could we go. Everyone says make a list so here I have, but I would love input, where have you been, where have you dreamed of going?
My vacation dream list
1: Paris
2: Rome
3: Belgium
4: Carcassonne, France
5: Ireland
6: London
7: Denmark

  1. Don't forget Spain and Switzerland. My High School Spanish teacher had a condo in Madrid. She alwasy had such beautiful pictures of the area. If you like to cook, here's something to consider. One of my friends (a non-cook at that) just got back from a culinary tour of Italy. If I rememeber what she said correctly, you stay with a chef and learn all about cooking at that level. It sounded like a great time. If you're interested, I can find out more info as to how she booked it.

My brother lived in Switzerland for 2 years. He traveled all over Europe as well. These are 3 years the kids will never forget. Enjoy it!

  2. This is jojeanne (my blog site I haven't done anything with yet). :) When in Paris it's a must to go to Normandy & visit Omaha and Utah beach!!! Also mont st michel!! We did when we were in Paris & it was one of our favorite side trips ever! Normandy is SO incredibly moving even if youre not a real history person. We also booked a small little castle in the countryside to stay in that was such an awesome experience! I'll keep thinking but this early in am that's what I've for for now! :)
